Let’s talk about a very important topic, sunscreens. And in particular, the layering of products containing sunscreen, although there are still misconceptions here and there that it doesn’t matter.

What you put on your skin, if you put make-up on afterwards, because the top layer counts, or that SPF values add up, so if you use a 15 moisturiser and a 20 foundation, you’re fine. Well the truth is that different SPF values don’t add up.

So the aforementioned combinations will not give you SPF35 protection. SPF foundations, skintones BB creams are also worth a sentence. Even if they have a high SPF value, unless you put on two finger lengths of it or a good 10 cents, which is obviously quite rare since that’s a lot of one of these products and would be unesthetic.

Then this product does not give us adequate protection. We’d rather use a separate sunscreen at the end of our skincare routine.

So in summary, layering sunscreens may increase protection somewhat, but SPF numbers do not add up.

Wait before sunscreen, to allow the products you apply before to absorb well, avoiding worm casts. Sunscreen cannot be massaged in for long periods of time, simply spread the product and wait for it to absorb, do not try to apply two sunscreens at the same time, just spread one sunscreen at a time, wait a little and then apply the next layer.

If your eyes are itchy, these are usually the ingredients, try to avoid them:

• oxybenzone,
• ococylene,
• ecamsule.

Then wait 8-10 minutes for the formula to spread evenly over the skin. In the meantime, don’t wear make-up and don’t touch your skin.

And lastly, don’t start looking for your umpteenth anti-aging serum until you have a sunscreen that works well!”
